Who gets Title Pawns and why?

What exactly is a Title Pawn?
A title pawn, also referred to in some places as a "title loan" or a "motor vehicle equity line of credit", is a short-term pawn ("loan") that uses the free and clear title to your vehicle as your credit. At Lucky 13, we don’t do credit checks. Your vehicle is your credit!
What do I need in order to get a Title Pawn?
To apply for a Title Pawn, you will need your vehicle, your free and clear vehicle title, and a photo ID, check stub and utility bill.
How do I know if my vehicle’s title is free and clear?
In most states, you will know that your title is “free and clear” because the actual title itself will either say “No Liens” on it or it will simply have a line for “Lien holder” that is blank. If you have any question about whether your title is “free and clear”, you can ask us.
What if there is another name on the title in addition to mine?
If someone else, in addition to you, is listed as a co-owner of the vehicle, they will need to be present too.
How much can I borrow?
The value of your vehicle and your ability to repay will affect how much can be borrowed in a range from $100 to $7500.
How does the process of getting a Title Pawn work?
Our process is quick and easy. First, bring your title, vehicle, stub, utility bill and photo ID to a location near you. Second, we’ll evaluate the vehicle, your budget, and ask what your cash needs are. Once we know that, you will complete a short Title Pawn application. Third, we’ll thoroughly review the terms, conditions, and repayment obligations before asking you to sign anything. Finally, you’ll walk out the door with your vehicle AND the cash you need!
How long does the Title Pawn approval process take?
From the time you arrive at our office with the items we need, the entire process should take 20 minutes or less.
Is there a maximum Title Pawn amount?
Yes. Our maximum Title Pawn in most states is $7500 Several states have maximum Title Pawn amounts that are less than $7500.

I'm self-employed. Can I get a Title Pawn?
Yes. In fact, many of our customers are self-employed contractors that use our services to help make payroll or to get working capital to finish a job. We recognize that owning a small business sometimes means that emergencies arise that require quick cash. And while other lenders might be not as willing to provide self-employed people with small Title Pawns in such a quick time frame, Lucky 13 is proud to serve so many self-employed people.
Can I get a Title Pawn if I'm unemployed?
Yes. We just need to know that you are either receiving unemployment benefits, have found a job that you will be starting soon, or are willing to have a friend or family member be a co-signer on the Title Pawn.
Does it matter if my credit score is low?
No. Lucky 13 does not use credit scores to make credit decisions. With us, your vehicle is your credit!
If I do not pay my Title Pawn back, will my car be repossessed?
Since a Lucky 13 uses the vehicle as collateral, repossessions do occur a very small percentage of the time. At Lucky 13, we believe in working with our customers that get behind on their payments. And unlike other lenders who might be more interested in repossessing the vehicle, Lucky 13 is more interested in working out a payment arrangement so you can keep your car.
Is there a prepayment penalty?
No. There are never prepayment penalties.
How often are payments due?
From the day you signed your Title Pawn contract, the first payment is due 30 days from that day. Payments are due every 30 days.
What payment methods does Lucky 13 Fast Cash accept?
At the time you get your Title Pawn, our representatives will fully describe all of the different payment methods available to you. In most locations, payments can be made via cash, debit card, money order, cashier’s check, or Western Union.
